Questions

How do you break free from who you are? How do you hold on to the parts of you that you like while changing the parts of you that you don’t like? What if the parts of you that you like are also the parts of you that you don’t like? What if the passion that drives you to do great things is also a intensity that scares people away from you? What if you are too genuine in a world of fake, plastic people?

Why is it that for every ninety-nine good things you do, it is only the one bad thing that is recognized? Why is it that the people who do nothing have the ability to control the lives of the people who do everything? Why is it that the complaints carry more currency than the compliments? Why is it that people complain about you to other people more than they praise you? Why do the people who do wrong prosper while the people who do right suffer?

What do you do in a world where every one demands trust and respect, but very few are worthy of it? How do you function in a world where no one listens and every thinks that they are right? What do you do when no one understands you, but your greatest desire is to be understood?

How do I survive in a world that cannot hear me, cannot understand me, yet cannot resist the urge to judge me?
