Human Reproduction for Dummies

March 13, 2009

Someone needs to explain to former President Bill Clinton what an embryo is.

When asked about using embryos for stem cell research former President Bill Clinton said “If it’s obvious that we’re not taking embryos that can—that under any conceivable scenario would be used for a process that would allow them to be fertilized and become little babies”

He then goes on to say, “I think these committees need to make it clear that they’re not going to fool with any embryos where there’s any possibility, even if it’s somewhat remote, that they could be fertilized and become human beings.”

Actually maybe someone needs to explain to him how babies are made. Because obviously he flunked that part of his education. I really don’t like to talk bad about our leaders or even about our former leaders; however, in this case I will make an exception. How unimaginably ignorant!

Definition of an EMBRYO (Encarta) “human offspring in initial developmental stage: a human offspring in the early stages following conception up to the end of the eighth week, after which it is classified as a fetus”

Definition of an EMBRYO (Wordsmyth) “in humans, the fertilized ovum in the first trimester”

Attention Mr. “Rhodes Scholar”! An embryo is what happens AFTER fertilization. So according to your own words: Fertilized = Human Life; therefore embryonic stem cell research is wrong AND you and your pro-choice friends are guilty of murdering millions of human babies.

I am seriously so angry right now. The pro-baby-killing people distort science so much that even the former President of the USA doesn’t understand that basics of human reproduction. Allow me to walk through this for them by creating a basic and easy to follow recipe.

Sperm from a MALE (Said MALE must have been born a male)

Egg from a FEMALE (Said FEMALE must have been born a female)

1.) Unite Sperm and Egg. This is usually done through the act of sex; however can be done in a laboratory setting

2.) Let the sperm do its job. The sperm’s job is to penetrate (break through) the membrane (outer covering) of the egg. The sperm then fuses (attaches) to the egg which allows the genetic information to come together.

3.) Fertilization is now complete, cells begin dividing and an embryo is formed.

**It is important to note that the Sperm and the Egg must be from the same species and will only produce an embryo of the same species. For example: Dog Sperm and a Dog Egg will produce a Dog Embryo. Human Sperm and a Human Egg will produce a HUMAN.

I do not believe that Embryonic Stem Cell research is moral, nor do I think that embryos are the only source of stem cells.  What I do believe is that this is just another way for the Pro-baby-killing people to push their baby killing agenda on us.

Please join me in signing a petition stating that you do not want your tax dollars funding abortion or anything related to the baby killing industry.
