Thirsty

Today is a rainy early spring day.  Pretty much a typical Early-April day for Northern New England.  It is rather gloomy out, as well as damp and chilly.  To be honest, I don’t really like days like this.  I must prefer sunny, bright, warm spring days.  The days that “feel” like what I think spring should feel like.  But without rain, there really could be no spring.  The flowers and grass could not grow.  The trees would not bud.  And eventually the hot summer sun would come and ground would be scorched.  Rain is a part of spring.  So today I rejoice in the rain!  I rejoice that it is not snowing!!  I rejoice that soon it will be the sunny part of spring.

Psalm147:7-8  “Sing to the LORD with thanksgiving; make music to our God on the harp. He covers the sky with clouds; He supplies the earth with rain and makes grass grow on the hills.”
